Depending upon the cause behind the loss of range of motion there are a number of different paths to regaining the range of motion in the shoulder. 

Full range of motion’ in medical terms is 180 degrees of shoulder flexion, and abduction, 45-60 degrees for shoulder extension, 30-50 degrees for adduction (across your body), 70-90 degrees for medial/internal rotation, and 90 degrees for lateral/external rotation.
